NETSU - MANDARIN ORIENTAL JUMEIRA, DUBAI

A selection of work created across a number of shoots for Netsu, bringing together food, cocktails and the energy of the restaurant. Inspired by Netsu’s Theatre of Fire concept, the imagery balances precise, appetising detail with a darker and more atmospheric sense of movement.

Across the series, slow shutter speeds were combined with flash, ambient light and the movement of flames, chefs and guests to create motion blur in-camera. The approach gives the images a feeling of energy and spontaneity while keeping the food and drinks clearly defined.
